Results for Y12 and 13 A level and BTEC subjects are available from college from 9am on Thursday 17th August
Results for Y11 GCSE subjects are available from college from 10am on Thursday 24th August
If your child is unable to collect their results in person, they may be collected on their behalf. The person collecting must have a signed note from the student agreeing for them to collect the results on their behalf and provide photo identification to prove that they are the person who has been authorised to collect the results. If results are not collected during this time we will post them to the home address on the student’s record.
Changes to GCSE and A levels
Over the last two years, there have been many significant changes to the GCSE and A level courses, exams and grading systems.
Generally speaking, the new courses have wider and more challenging content than in previous years, exams have been made harder and the amount of coursework has been reduced. A new 9-1 grading system has also been introduced for GCSE English and maths. (Information about these changes has already been shared with you at parents’ evenings earlier this year.)
All of these changes mean that this year’s results cannot and should not be compared with those of previous years.
To help you understand these changes further, here are some links to useful documents provided by the ASCL teacher’s union and the Department for Education
