Every student in every subject has a Flight Path mapped out for the year. A copy of this sheet is in each book or folder.
The example below is of a typical Year 10 student.
The shaded box on the left shows the new GCSE grade for the student, at the start of the year.
The shaded box on the right shows the new GCSE grade the student is aiming for at the end of the year.
Each time an assessment is completed the student will add the name of the assessment at the bottom of the sheet and shade in the level they have reached in that assessment.
As the year progresses the shaded boxes will show how the student is progressing.
It is important to remember that students do not learn in a smooth steady way - they jump forward and fall back in their understanding. However, the shaded boxes give a simple visual representation of the progress being made.
