LG is a warehousing and logistics company that has branches across West Sussex, and has just opened one in East Grinstead – where they have around 40 job opportunities. Whilst warehousing is often seen as a job that would appeal more to men, the company also handle orders for the likes of Jimmy Choo and other high fashion brands, and so they are finding that more and more girls/women are interested in working for them.

They are offering apprenticeships, link below, and would like to invite applications from students.

Do you have students interested in a career in IT? Class Careers can help!

It's estimated that the IT sector generates more than over half of the UK's total economic output and is responsible for around 5% of all jobs in the UK - around 1.5 million employees.

With over 20 million British workers using some form of IT every day as part of their job, it comes as no surprise that the IT sector is one of the fastest growing and most in-demand industries in the UK with more than 150,000 new entrants needed each year to satisfy demand.

From retail to sport and music to banking, IT is a vital component of everyday life with opportunities existing across the industrial spectrum and at every level.

Class Careers have teamed up with QA Apprenticeships and Microsoft to give students the opportunity to engage with current employees in various fields relating to IT and to find out about entry and training routes. Find time in your end of term schedule to sign up your students for this online workshop on Wednesday 5th July and help them plan their next steps.

Don’t forget our other workshops, either, which still have places available!

We hope that these last busy few weeks of the year will be productive and engaging ones for your students as you offer them these workshop opportunities as something a little bit different for the end of term.

Thank you for your support

Retail Apprentice – Various locations

Apprenticeships don’t have to be a Plan B. At least not at the Co-op. Our retail trailblazer programme is designed to really set you up for success, and propel you into the world of retail. You’ll get all the support you need, and unlike a lot of retail apprenticeship programs, you’ll receive a full time salary and won’t have to pay anything towards your learning. We’ll even give you an iPad to help you with your studies.

Being a retail trailblazer isn’t just stacking shelves. It’s so much more. You’ll complete 11 core modules such as brand, marketing, product and team, to name a few, showing how you’ve learnt it, shown it and lived it. 20% of your time will be spent completing these modules through interactive technology, wherever’s most convenient for you.

So that you’re set up for success, you’ll need to be able to demonstrate the required standard in maths and English. We’ll look to see if you’ve had under 12 months experience within a food retail role before, so that everything we’re teaching you is new and exciting. To find out if there is an opportunity near you, click apply now below.
