Openreach are an engineering company responsible for laying the copper, fibre and telephone poles that provide the country with broadband services.
There have an excellent opportunities for students starting with a 12 month traineeship in which they are provided world class training to become engineers. After the 12 months the engineer will roll off the traineeship into a permanent, full-time role.
From then onwards there are many opportunities – and have just rolled out a new engineering pathway where engineers can progress to senior engineers, specialist engineers and more. But if management is more their thing then many of our engineers go on to climb up our management structure, with our current CEO previously an engineer.
