Sports Studies

Curriculum Intent:

Sports Studies gives students an opportunity to broaden their knowledge of sport as well as develop their practical ability and understanding across a range of units. The students will look at how media and sport work together, how to become a good leader and what it takes to become an effective leader and the ability to develop skill sets across a range of individual and team sports. Students will learn to analyse performance, organise competitions and lessons for primary school pupils and their peers and develop a deeper underpinning of sport across the 2 year course.
