Dream Big: Oxford Trip

A group of Year 11 students fromThomas Bennett recently returned from an inspiring visit to the University of Oxford, gaining a valuable glimpse into life and learning at one of the world's leading academic institutions.

The visit was designed to inspire students to aim high and demystify the process of applying to an elite university. Students participated in a variety of sessions aimed at providing practical guidance and an academic taste of Oxford life.

Highlights of the day included an academic taster session, allowing the students to experience university-level teaching, and a comprehensive session dedicated to the application and interview process. This crucial guidance provided actionable advice for students considering applying in the future.

Additionally, the students enjoyed a full campus tour, exploring the historic colleges and facilities, and had the opportunity to chat directly with current Oxford students. These conversations offered a real-world perspective on the student experience, life in residence, and how to successfully balance study with personal life.
